front line performances by saxophonist Rich Perry and trumpeter
Peter Evans moving freely over the solid harmonic foundation
of bassist Brendler and the explosive metrics of drummer
Vinnie Sperrazza. Many jazz fans may be unfamiliar with
Brendler's earlier work, but now the time has come to go travel
beyond the simply straight ahead and go "Outside the Line"
with his new chord-less quartet. We are confident that Peter
Brendler and his music will surely bring delight to the ears of
serious listeners everywhere, as they navigate steadily away
from the known and familiar to move swiftly out beyond into the
uncharted depths of modern collective improvisation by utilizing
new instrumentation to uncover a new sound in time and space.
